Claymore Manga
Claymore is a dark fantasy manga series written and illustrated by Norihiro Yagi produced for Monthly Shonen Jump. As of June 6 2007, the final issue of Monthly Shonen Jump was released and the magazine cancelled, while the Claymore manga appeared on a monthly basis for a brief period in Weekly Shonen Jump. On the 2nd of November, later this year, Claymore will be continued in Jump Square. As of August 2007, 12 volumes of the original Japanese edition and 9 in English have been released. Each chapter in the manga is referred to as a “scene”. An anime series based on the manga began airing in Japan on 2007-04-03.
The story: In a world where monsters called Yoma prey on humans and live among them in disguise, humanity’s only hope is a new breed of warrior known as Claymores–silver-eyed girls who have willingly become half monster to destroy the predators. But the more the Claymores call on their supernatural strength, the closer they come to losing their human sides forever.
